So I finally broke down and took my laptop into a small computer shop down-town to be serviced. The fan has been acting funny for weeks (making a weird clicking noise like the blades are hitting the cage when I know they shouldn't be), so I decided to have a professional look at it. At the very least, the fan will either need a serious cleaning (and I'll feel like an idiot for taking it in), or it'll need a total replacement. My bet is on the latter. It's barely a year old, but the warranty is up on Christmas Eve, and I don't feel like pissing with Toshiba and sending the laptop out for 4 - 6 weeks just so they can fix something that'll take all of ten minutes.

So hopefully I'll get it back by perhaps tomorrow, but I'm looking more at monday or tuesday. My tablet will be coming tomorrow, so I get to stare at it all weekend. :C Woe.

So the guy I mentioned in my last journal entry came through on the tablet, and I ordered it yesterday after work. My UPS e-mail says that it ought to arrive next friday. I'm hoping that I'll take to it quickly, and perhaps be able to open commissions sometime in January or February if anyone is interested. They won't be expensive. It'll just give me something to do between work and classes. How many I take on will depend on my class workload too, as I start a new semester on January 5th.

We'll see how it goes, though.

Way to go to the derp that made my last journal skin for letting their Photobucket bandwidth go over. It made me LOL.

Going to be adding some new art over the next few weeks... Not that many seem to care but, you know, I enjoy talking to myself. Makes me feel important. Wordswordswords.

Got commissioned (tentatively) by a guy at work for some D&D portraits. He wants them digital to make my life difficult (why will DeviantART not let me use strikethrough on this, fffffff), but he also suggested that he would buy me (or at least go halves) on a digital tablet if I did it digital, so I can't really say no. I'll also get Photoshop on top of it from him, so it's not a bad deal. We'll see where that goes, though. I plan to buy the tablet this friday, if all goes well. Hopefully Wacom doesn't fuck me over this close to the holidays. Will not be a happy cupcake.
